Rover 03:56
i was thinking about the ever turning over i was ringing on out the eddie and the clover you told me that you were not afraid or hungover somehow the summer is gone and still we was a rover but the skies up above are sunny and blue and the sidewalk below is faithful and true and i could never begin to compare to you, in my dreams you swore a tropical hat, your father and your mother took ‘em to visit the bats, the terrors, and the lovers and I was thinking about the ever turning over somehow the summer is gone and still we was a rover yeah yeah the skies up above are sunny and blue and the sidewalk below, still faithful and true and i would never consider comparing you to my dreams and still we was a rover

New Year 05:22
it’s a new year - it’s raining outside kind of weather make you wish you could die it’s a new year - got a fog in my head I’d just as well spend the day in bed don’t know where I’m going - but I know where I’ve been all I know is that I’m never going back there again I hear what you’re sayin’ - I’m thinking the same we just take it one day at a time now, babe in the new year it’s a new year - cloudy above with all we’ve seen you’d thing that we had had enough but it’s a new year, and things aren’t that bad. don’t you dare forget all the fun we’ve had we don’t know where we’re going - but we know where we’ve been and I’m glad as hell that we ain’t goin’ back there again. and I hear what you’re saying - I don’t disagree so let’s have another go around, baby, you and me so who cares where we’re headed, who cares how it ends so long’s we’ve got each other and a couple of friends yes I hear what you’re sayin’, and it’s probably true behold I am making all things new, in the new year

Jean Pierre 05:06
went swimming in your bathtub skinny dippin’ on the lyme took the garbage to the freezer and the groceries to the rhyme so let me jiggle on your handle let me rummage through your hair cause there’s a lotta ground to cover ‘fore we get to jean pierre… up the stairs into your bedroom with the antique feather bed and the quilt made by your grandma ad the pillow for your head out your back door there’s a garden but you never took me there now there’s a lotta ground to cover ‘fore we get to jean pierre… don’t tell me ‘bout the sugar or the salt of days gone by don’t cry to me ‘bout mem’ries and the ever fleeting time cause the days are drawing dark, dove and the end is drawing near and there’s a lotta ground to cover ‘fore we get to jean pierre… I could tell you that I love you say I think you’re looking fine I could tell you how I’m lucky say I’m happy that you’re mine but I’m afraid it’s getting late dear and there’s a coldness in the air and we’ve a lot of ground to cover ‘fore we get to jean pierre…

do we imagine ourselves to be prophets? are we so wise in our own eyes? that we could judge with such certainty black from white and truth from lie? maybe he was guilty of the crime cut the innocent down before our eyes maybe then he does deserve to die, but then so do I. what then have we all done pity? where have we our forgiveness hid? does truth rest only on what I’m thinking, or on the thing that he really did? maybe he was guilty of the crime cut the innocent down before our eyes maybe then he does deserve to die, but then so do I. troy are you looking down from heaven? are you finally free from blame? do you see justice kissing mercy? do they see everything the same? maybe you were guilty of your crime cut the innocent down before our eyes maybe you really did deserve to die, but then so did I….

I don’t know what you’ve been told but I believe in you baby and I don’t know what you’ve been told but I have heard that there’s a place called love… I don’t care what you’ve stuck in your hair all I know is that I like it and I don’t care what we’ll be doing there all I know is there must be a place called love

Come Around 03:37
next time you come around. - next time the cantor sounds next time the love abounds - I’ll be waiting there… next time the glory falls - next time creation calls next time with Biggie Smalls - and I’ll be waiting there… I hear the choirs sing - I hear the church bells ring It sounds like everything - and I’m still waiting here… a million voices shout - I feel the volume mount ich bin total erstaunt - I’m still waiting here... Oh I know it must be true… Oh and it must be soon… It just has to be true don’t make me look like a fool nothin’ I wouldn’t do to be there with you next time you come around. - next time the cantor sounds next time the love abounds - I’ll be waiting there… next time the glory falls - next time creation calls next time with Biggie Smalls - and I’ll be waiting there…
